Review: | This orange sherbet has fast become the kids favourite. With a strong orange flavour from 2 cups of fresh juice it’s quite fresh feeling and not too heavy. A nice balance between a sorbet and a true ice cream. It took us quite a while to make as we juiced fresh oranges from our tree. We followed the recipe and whisked the cream before folding it into the mixture. We found we ended up with a very lumpy mixture. We tried squashing the lumps which worked for the bigger one, but resorted to whisking it to get it smooth. It froze up quite nicely. I found it too strong for my taste, and gave me a tingly tongue from the acid. Mr DH didn’t like the bits in it from the zest. Overall we enjoyed this recipe and would make it again. |
